NCAA Basketball Betting Lines

12/23/2006 - Baton Rouge, LA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Glen Davis had a game-high 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead the 12th-ranked LSU Tigers to a 68-52 victory over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

Terry Martin added 19 points and Tasmin Mitchell added nine points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers (7-3), who started a five-game homestand and have won two of their last three games.

Trey McDowell had 19 points and Chad McKenzie donated 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (2-9), who have dropped their last three games.

The Tigers had an 11-4 lead a little less than seven minutes in when Garrett Temple hit one from the charity stripe, but the Bulldogs got back to within four when Terry Parker Jr. hit a jumper to make it a 14-10 game.

That was as close as Louisiana Tech got in the first half, though, as Martin followed with consecutive treys to spark a 12-2 run capped off by a two- pointer by Terry for a 26-12 lead with under six minutes to play in the half.

LSU took a 33-22 lead into the locker room on the strength of 42.3 percent shooting.

The Bulldogs got to within seven points when McKenzie put in a layup to make it a 40-33 game a little over five minutes into the second half.

However, the Tigers put the game out of reach with a 13-2 run and had a 53-35 lead after Martin drained a three-pointer with a little over nine minutes to play.

Louisiana Tech never seriously threatened the remainder of the game.
